3 Most Common Apple Music Problems and How to Fix Them

0

Apple Music is one of the most popular streaming services even though there is no new music. iPhone owners prefer it because it is integrated into iOS and the Apple ecosystem better than other applications, and it also has a clear interface – it will not be difficult to figure it out. Unfortunately, even Apple’s music app sometimes crashes: tracks disappear, won’t play, won’t download to iPhone, or Apple Music simply won’t open. Here are the most common problems with Apple Music and how you can fix them.

Apple Music not working – what to do

Readers of our Telegram chat most often complain that Apple Music does not work: the application does not load at all, which makes it impossible to access music. Fortunately, most likely, the reason is clearly not in you and your iPhone. Here’s what can be done.

  • Open the Apple System Status page . It is possible that a failure occurred on the company’s servers, causing one or more services to stop working. If a yellow circle or red light is on near Apple Music, it means there is a problem.
  • If everything is OK on the status page, take a look at the Downdetector website. This service quickly displays failures in various sites around the world. Perhaps Apple Music stopped working not only for you, but for users around the world.
  • Check your internet connection: try switching from cellular data to Wi-Fi or vice versa.
  • Check the date and time settings on your iPhone. Usually, many system applications, including Apple Music and Safari, may not work because of this.
  • Try enabling VPN. This is what helped launch the App Store in light of the recent crashes that many users in Russia experienced. In this article, we have selected those that still work.

Delete Apple Music from iPhone and reinstall from this link. Fortunately, deleting the service does not affect either the subscription or the media library in any way: after reinstallation, everything will continue to work as before.

Apple Music won’t play songs

If the service still loads, but the songs in Apple Music are not included , try these few fixes.

  • Make sure your subscription has not expired. To do this, go to Settings and click on your profile at the top, select Subscriptions, then Apple Music.
  • Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple ID associated with your music subscription. This often happens when several devices are used at once.
  • In some cases, Apple Music may start playing a song, but there is still no sound even when headphones are connected. There may be too many open apps on your iPhone: try closing them, restart your iPhone, and restart Apple Music.

If you use the application without the Internet, check that the songs from Apple Music are downloaded to the iPhone’s memory – enable auto-download. It can be activated by going to Settings – “Music” – “Automatic downloads”.

Missing music from Apple Music

Many mistakenly believe that tracks from Apple Music disappear solely due to sanctions . In fact, this is not the case: many artists simply run out of a hosting license and the service needs time to renew it. Some musicians refuse, leaving only new compositions on the service for their promotion, so old albums become unavailable. Here are a few more reasons why songs disappear from Apple Music .

  • The album or track has not yet been released, and the service published it ahead of time.
  • Songs may not be available in your country or region.
  • The old version of the song has been removed and replaced with a new one. You need to add it again.

Sometimes music in Apple Music is not available due to your iPhone running out of storage space. The application starts deleting existing songs, loading new ones in their place. This can be easily fixed by going to Settings – “Music” – “Storage Optimization”. Select Disable.

Some are accustomed to using Apple Music on Windows – a separate application has just recently been released for this. If for some reason it doesn’t work, music is synced, make sure “Library Sync” is enabled in iPhone settings. Remember that on your computer, you need to sign in with your Apple ID account, to which the subscription to the service is connected.
