iOS 12.2 beta 2: What’s new?


Last night, the second beta of the iOS 12.2 mobile operating system became available. According to Apple, this update is aimed at eliminating errors and improving stability. We present to your attention a brief overview of all the changes that were found by us in the latest build.

At the moment, iOS 12.2 beta 2 is available exclusively for developers registered in the preliminary testing program. The update can be downloaded by “air” in the presence of a special beta profile, or installed via iTunes, before downloading the firmware file in the appropriate section on the official Apple website.

  • On the lock screen, the battery charge is constantly displayed (instead of the date);
  • Updated animation in the Control Center.
  • What problems have been fixed?

    • Fixed a bug that could cause the interface to freeze when trying to share photos;
    • Fixed a graphical error that could occur if the “Change the volume with buttons” option was activated.

    Current issues

    • The Wallet app is unstable;
    • When you try to pay via Apple Pay, authorization by Touch ID and Face ID may not work;
    • Group calls still do not work;
    • The status bar may disappear with certain actions;
    • There may be graphic flaws in the Control Center.

    Recall that iOS 12.2 will be available to all users in March of this year.
