Almost everyone has at least once faced the need to download a photo from Instagram to their phone. However, this is not so easy to do – the application does not have a “Save Image” button; likely to have fewer copyright conflicts between users. However, sometimes downloading a picture or video from Instagram is really necessary. And there is a way to do it in just a few seconds, without installing unknown photo download applications.
On the Internet, you can find many instructions on how to save a picture from Instagram to your phone. Basically, they offer to download an application like “InstaSaver Pro Max” (the name is purely for example, but somehow they are usually called so), which will perform this task. But it is better not to use such solutions.
Firstly, in such applications, most often you are asked to log in with your Instagram account. It is not a good idea to trust your username and password to someone who is not clear. Considering that there have been quite a few spammers and scammers lately. Secondly, some programs work on a PAID basis. Yes, they offer to pay for a seemingly fairly simple action. And people pay to save themselves the extra headache.
But there is the simplest solution available to literally every iPhone (or Android) user. It only takes you a few seconds to upload a photo with it. In addition, this method works not only with pictures but also with videos!
How to save Instagram photos to iPhone
- Open Instagram and find the photo you want to save. Click the button with three dots in the upper right corner and select “Copy Link”.
- Launch the Telegram messenger (now literally everyone has it) and open a dialogue with yourself (“Favorites” chat). Paste this link and send us a message.
- Telegram will automatically recognize a photo or video by reference and by clicking on it, you can save it to your device. To do this, select the Share menu in the lower-left corner of the screen and click Save to Photo Stream.
Done! A photo that a few seconds ago was only on a user’s Instagram page is now in your phone’s camera roll. And you can do whatever you want with it. Not forgetting, of course, about copyright, if the picture is suddenly protected by them.
In my opinion, this is the easiest way to download a picture from Instagram to your phone . However, if you wish, you can use an alternative.
PS: At the end of November 2020, this method stopped working, because Telegram stopped showing pictures from Instagram following the link. Perhaps later this method will work again.
How else to download a picture from Instagram to your phone
- Download the “Teams” application on your iPhone using this link ;
- Go to “Settings” – “Quick commands” and allow the installation of commands from unreliable sources;
- Download the Instagram Media Saver team .
- Go to the Instagram app and find the photo or video you want;
- Click on the context menu button (three horizontal dots) and select “Share”;
- In the window that opens, click “Save photo” or “Save video;
- Go to the Photos app and find the video or picture you downloaded from Instagram.
Someone may like this method more, but I would recommend downloading photos via Telegram. The time is the same, but you do not need to install “Commands”, allow an unreliable command and do the configuration.
