AirTag is perhaps the most unpopular gadget in the Apple ecosystem. I don’t know how things are abroad, but in Russia, according to my observations, they are used extremely rarely. - Open the Find My app on your device.
- Next, at the bottom of the display, tap on the Items icon.

- The charge indicator is right below the name of your tag.
I must say, the icon with the battery charge is very small and does not catch the eye at all. No wonder users simply don’t see it. Plus, note that the AirTag’s charge is only shown as a battery icon. View AirTag charge in percentage , alas, impossible.

The AirTag uses CR2032 batteries. You can find them in almost any supermarket or hardware store. Such batteries are used in almost every second accessory, so this is not a problem. However, please note that not all batteries are suitable for AirTag .
I don’t have an AirTag yet, but after consulting with my colleagues, I found out that it’s better to buy an AirTag battery on Aliexpress. Firstly, the Chinese rarely apply a bitter coating, and secondly, batteries from hardware stores usually do not live up to their due date. Apparently, they just buy the cheapest ones.
